Although not a part of the Polish awards system, United Nations and other international
medals have been conferred to Poles taking part in peacekeeping missions, and they are
frequently seen on Polish military uniforms. This page is linked to the
UN page devoted to mission medals (www.un.org/Depts/dpko/medals/), which contains abundant
information on UN medals. Only those medals have been linked for which
